Introducing Our New Menu: Fazoli’s Menu Makeover
We know what our customers like, but we want to do more than just meet their expectations - we also want to exceed them! That’s why this year, our team came together to make some critical decisions on our menu, and not only are our customers happy, but also our franchise is seeing improved sales numbers, too!
It’s still fast, still fresh, and still Italian, but we are pleased to announce that our new menu is packed with offerings that are now made from higher quality ingredients to ensure that we’re delivering a product that will keep customers coming back for more. Between using imported cheeses and signature sauces, for example, we’re doing everything we can to create a product that is above the rest - as CEO Carl Howard puts it, we compete on food service and quality.
When we first started making changes and marketing ourselves as a “fast casual” restaurant, our menu upgrade focused on salads, sandwiches and pasta - this time, it’s all about the sandwiches.
Our latest and greatest menu offering comes in the form of Primo Submarinos® - a sandwich we created to replace our traditional Submarinos®. These sandwiches have been upgraded with premium toppings and more meat, and even come with a toasted garlic bun!
All of our freshly prepared entrées (not just our sandwiches, but our salads and pasta, too) are made-to-order and use only the finest ingredients - our chicken is roasted in-house, the mozzarella and provolone is always fresh and never frozen, our breadsticks are baked fresh, and our produce is fresh and prepped in-house. Authenticity is our goal here, and we want our customers to know that we put a great deal of thought into our menu to make it something that keeps them 110% satisfied.
Although 50% of the population eats a sandwich every day, Donna Josephson, our CMO, explained that only 4.3% of our sales came from our sandwhiches. However, since we replaced our Submarinos with Primo Submarinos earlier this year, we’ve already seen an uptick in sales!
“The upgrades [in ingredient quality] did impact food costs, and we raised prices from $6.49 to $6.99, but sales have already increased to 5%,” says Josephson in a recent interview with Restaurant Business.
Speaking of sales, did you know that our franchise is experiencing record growth? We’ve had 13 consecutive quarters of same-store sales growth, and in July of 2016 alone, we had franchisees boasting a 5.1% year-over-year same-store sales increase!
